I had a similar impression: AI was brought in to design goal-seeked "scientific research" papers to support the vaxx. This is essentially AI-powered propaganda, not science. Scientists and the medical profession are still asleep, remarkably. Very naive.
I'm lost on this one. Where is the 'AI' in this article or in the papers that are being critiqued? I've worked on actual AI systems in industry (Silicon Valley). I see nothing here that indicates the use of AI as opposed to traditional statistical modeling tools.

I had a seven year petition go through the parliament there with input from Healthcare Improvement Scotland and the various quangos associated with it. All set up in that Byzantine way to leave accountability an impossibility.

Those behind this apparently fraudulent research must surely be open to the charge of accessory to murder in the context of ‘crimes against humanity’ and accessory to no-consent experimentation in the context of the Nuremberg Code? ‘Sounds pretty serious, and evil, I would think.
And then for health regulatory agencies to aim psyops propaganda/recommendations at pregnant women upon it without independent expert analysis and/or corroboration would appear to be an extremely serious ‘malfeasance in public office’.

The fact that these evident fraudsters now have to launder data, hidden in black boxes bypassed by peer review (of which Nature Communications is part of the fraud) have to use evidently ghostwritten synthetic data just proves the real world data shows the complete opposite.

I would say, Syed, ask Nature Communications who *did* approve the paper, given NC mysteriously seem to have withheld the 'whom'. If it's a baseless, predatory peer review journal outlet with no legs (which I suspect it is given NC's reluctance to admit who it was), it'd completely destroy the paper.

But what in fact is happening all too frequently is that the data science tool is being used not to search for and accurately represent reality, the truth, but rather to achieve financial profit or power to the detriment of the health or life of others. . . but this is "nothing new under the sun."
If the last three years should have reminded us of anything, it is that we should be extremely skeptical of the objectives of government and big business. . .as the founders of this Country knew so well. . .and from which sought, through the Constitution, to protect future generations.

Blocking out the data cleansing/processing code should disqualify that paper from publication. Without knowing how the researchers handled the usual problems like missing values, systematic error (etc) you can't be confident in the results.
That sort of strategy is probably acceptable in some circumstances. Take a civil engineer who is proposing a new method for studying water distribution systems. She has a bunch of data obtained from embedded sensors, and there is a certain amount of noise. She states that she cleaned up the noise by using some form of filter, and that the raw data is not available. That would probably fly because the research contribution is really about a new method and not about the precise flows of material in that particular system.
There are fields where the high frequency details matter. Genome wide association studies are one such field: you are looking for rare events, and errors in the dataset are a big problem. Medical research is another one of these fields.
